If you sell products on Etsy, eBay, or TikTok Shop, CawCut Ad Video can turn a product listing into a short ad. Add the listing, define the message, review the creative, and generate a video ready for your campaign.

1. Add Your Marketplace Product

  1. Open [Ad Video].
  2. Paste the Etsy, eBay, or TikTok Shop listing URL into the link field.
  3. Click [Analyze URL].

CawCut collects available product details, images, shop information, price, promotion, and selling points from the listing.

If you do not have a usable marketplace link, select [Add Product Manually] and enter the product information yourself.

Before continuing, review the imported details:

  • Correct the [Product Name] and [Description] if they are missing or inaccurate.
  • Choose a clear [Primary Image] and supporting images that accurately show the item, its details, and what the customer will receive.
  • Select a logo only if you want it to appear in the ad.
  • Check selling points such as handmade, vintage, personalized, condition, rarity, discount, or gifting claims.
  • Select one selling point as the main focus of the ad.

Marketplace-specific checks

  • Etsy: Use one clear, well-lit image of the finished item as the primary image. Supporting images can show materials, scale, personalization, packaging, or use, but make props and unincluded items clear. Verify the item type, materials, dimensions, variations, processing time, and returns. Emphasize craftsmanship, customization, vintage character, or gifting only when the listing supports it. See Etsy’s image requirements.
  • eBay: Use an actual face-on photo of the complete item. Add angles, labels, accessories, measurements, and close-ups of flaws. Check the exact condition, model, quantity, authenticity, shipping, and returns; do not use stock photos for used items. Avoid watermarks, borders, text, and promotional graphics. See eBay’s picture policy.
  • TikTok Shop: Use a clear front view of the physical product on a clean or white background. Supporting images should show different angles, features, variations, and included items—not repeated or unrelated images. Check the category, brand, variants, package contents, required disclosures, and prohibited or restricted product rules. Avoid text, logos, watermarks, QR codes, off-platform links, and unsupported claims. See TikTok Shop’s product listing guidance.

For more details about the complete product-to-video workflow, see Create Ad Video. You can also import product content in a node-based workflow with the Product Node.

2. Tell CawCut What to Advertise

Choose one main benefit for your product, then provide the target audience, use case, tone, and accurate claims.

When choosing the image and message, match the product to its marketplace:

  • Etsy: For jewelry, personalized gifts, decor, and art, focus on craftsmanship, materials, or customization. Use an image that clearly shows the finished item.
  • eBay: For electronics, collectibles, fashion, tools, auto parts, and vintage items, focus on the exact model, condition, features, and included accessories.
  • TikTok Shop: For beauty, apparel, gadgets, and home products, use a clean opening image followed by a short demonstration of one clear benefit.
  • All platforms: Remove images of other variations, unlisted bundles, or unrelated props. Make sure the [Primary Image] matches the product and main selling point.

Add any sale or special offer, and check that prices, personalization, delivery expectations, inventory, and claims are accurate.

Configure the video for its destination:

  • Choose the destination [Platform] and aspect ratio.
  • Select the [Resolution] and a [10s] or [15s] duration.
  • Choose [Product Showcase], [Product with Voiceover], or [Talking Video].
  • Set the [Language] and enable [Captions] when needed.
  • Select a storyboard style, then click [Continue].

Review the generated ideas and choose one clear concept built around the selected selling point.

If none of the suggestions fits, select [Use your own idea] and describe the item, opening hook, setting, audience, benefit, and end-card message. Keep the concept simple enough to fit the selected duration.

3. Review the Script and Storyboard

Before generating, confirm that the product information, selling point, story, and shots match your listing and campaign goal. Read the complete script and check the product name, materials, size, condition, personalization, price, promotion, claims, and spoken lines. Edit it if needed; see Mastering Ad Scripts.

Edit the script to match the item exactly:

  • Etsy: Verify handmade, personalized, vintage, materials, dimensions, and included components.
  • eBay: Verify the exact model, year, condition, accessories, compatibility, flaws, and authenticity.
  • TikTok Shop: Keep the hook short. Check variants, package contents, usage directions, warnings, and claims—especially for beauty, wellness, food, or household products.
  • All platforms: Replace vague claims such as “best” or “guaranteed” with specific product details.

If you generate a storyboard, check the hook, shot order, lighting, and product presentation. Make sure every scene represents the actual item.

4. Generate a Preview and Final Video

Use the storyboard to check the story, shot timing, product presentation, and visual style before generating the final video for your campaign. Then:

  1. Confirm the final script and storyboard, if you created one.
  2. Generate a 480P preview first.
  3. If the direction works, choose your preferred model and resolution, then generate the final version.
  4. Preview the completed video on the [Video] step and check the visuals, timing, captions, voiceover, product details, and offer before publishing.

Fix problems in the storyboard or preview before switching to a higher model or resolution. This preview-first workflow helps reduce unnecessary credit use.

4.1 Fine-Tune or Customize the Ad Video

  • Fine-tune the video: Use VN Video Editor to adjust timing, captions, music, transitions, and other details.
  • Localize the ad: Select the target [Language] in the CawCut Ad Video settings before generating, then review the translated product name, claims, promotion details, and spoken lines. For simple localization after generation, create the video without voiceover and use VN to add localized text, captions, or text-to-speech narration. See the VN Text to Speech and Caption guide.
  • Customize the generation: Use a customized CawCut Workflow to organize product content, prompts, creative settings, and generation steps more precisely.
