Turn a marketplace product listing into a short ad video with CawCut.

CawCut Ad Video can turn an Etsy, eBay, or TikTok Shop product listing into a short product ad. Add your item, define the message, review the creative, and generate the video.

1. Add Your Marketplace Product

  1. Open [Ad Video].
  2. Paste the Etsy, eBay, or TikTok Shop listing URL into the link field.
  3. Click [Analyze URL].

CawCut collects the available product name, description, images, seller or shop details, price, promotion, and selling points from the listing.

If you do not have a usable marketplace link, select [Add Product Manually] and enter the product information yourself.

Before continuing, review the imported details:

  • Correct the [Product Name] and [Description] if they are missing or inaccurate.
  • Choose a clear [Primary Image] that shows the item at a useful size and reflects the listing accurately.
  • Choose supporting images that show materials, scale, condition, personalization, or use without near-duplicates.
  • Select a logo only if you want it to appear in the ad.
  • Check each selling point, including handmade, vintage, personalized, condition, rarity, discount, or gift-related claims.
  • Select one selling point as the main focus of the ad.

You can also add promotion details, such as a sale price, free shipping, coupon, live-shopping offer, or gift occasion, and define a target audience when they are important to the ad.

For more details about the complete product-to-video workflow, see Create Ad Video. You can also import product content in a node-based workflow with the Product Node.

2. Tell CawCut What to Advertise

Choose one main benefit and provide the target audience, use case, tone, and accurate product claims. Keep the ad focused on one product story, such as a personalized gift, a collectible’s rarity, a product’s condition, or a short-form demonstration of the item in use.

If the ad should mention a sale or special offer, add the promotion details while reviewing the product information. Check that prices, personalization details, delivery expectations, inventory, and claims are accurate.

Configure the video for its destination:

  • Choose the destination [Platform] and aspect ratio.
  • Select the [Resolution] and a [10s] or [15s] duration.
  • Choose [Product Showcase], [Product with Voiceover], or [Talking Video].
  • Set the [Language] and enable [Captions] when needed.
  • Select a storyboard style, then click [Continue].

Choose settings that match where you plan to publish the ad. Review the generated ideas and choose one clear concept built around the selected selling point.

If none of the suggestions fits, select [Use your own idea] and describe the item, opening hook, setting, audience, benefit, and end-card message. Keep the concept simple enough to fit the selected duration.

3. Review the Script and Storyboard

Before generating, check that:

  • The product information is correct.
  • The selected selling point matches the listing and campaign goal.
  • The story is logical and easy to follow.
  • The shots show the item clearly and match the idea.

Read the complete script and verify the product name, materials, size, condition, personalization, prices, promotions, claims, and spoken lines. Edit the script if needed before generating a storyboard. See Mastering Ad Scripts for more guidance.

If you generate a storyboard, check the opening hook, shot order, composition, movement, lighting, and product presentation. Make sure any gift, lifestyle, personalization, collectible, or product-demonstration scene represents the actual item.

4. Generate a Preview and Final Video

Use the storyboard to check the story, shot timing, product presentation, and visual style before generating the final video. Then:

  1. Confirm the final script and storyboard, if you created one.
  2. Generate a 480P preview first.
  3. If the direction works, choose your preferred model and resolution, then generate the final version.
  4. Preview the completed video on the [Video] step and check the visuals, timing, captions, voiceover, product details, condition, personalization, offer, and promotion before using it in a campaign.

Fix problems in the storyboard or preview before switching to a higher model or resolution. This preview-first workflow helps reduce unnecessary credit use.

4.1 Fine-Tune or Customize the Ad Video

  • Fine-tune the video: Use VN Video Editor to adjust timing, captions, music, transitions, and other details.
  • Localize the ad: Select the target [Language] in the CawCut Ad Video settings before generating, then review the translated product name, claims, promotion details, and spoken lines. For simple localization after generation, create the video without voiceover and use VN to add localized text, captions, or text-to-speech narration. See the VN Text to Speech and Caption guide.
  • Customize the generation: Use a customized CawCut Workflow to organize product content, prompts, creative settings, and generation steps more precisely.
