Credits are the usage units used to run AI generation and processing operations in CawCut. This article explains where to review estimated costs, how plan credits work, and how to purchase additional credits.
1. What Credits Are
Credits are consumed when you run supported nodes or workflows that use AI models and other credit-based operations. The amount depends on factors such as:
- The type of node
- The selected model
- Output settings, including resolution, duration, quality, or the number of results
Review the estimate before running a node or workflow, especially when changing models or output settings.
2. Check Estimated Credit Costs
CawCut shows credit estimates at both the workflow and node level. For a complete overview of the current interface, see Navigate Through CawCut.
2.1 Workflow Credit Estimate
The estimated credit cost for the workflow appears in the top-left area of the workflow interface. The estimate reflects the currently configured credit-based operations in the workflow.
If you change a model, output setting, or connected node, check the estimate again before running the workflow.
2.2 Node Credit Estimate
Each supported node shows its estimated credit cost next to the [Run] button. Use this estimate when you want to run only that node or compare the costs of different model and output settings.
The displayed amount is an estimate. The final charge is based on the operation that runs and its selected settings.
3. Check Your Credit Balance
The location of your remaining credit balance depends on the page:
- Home page: The balance appears in the lower-left area beside your account controls.
- Canvas page: The balance appears in the top-right area next to your profile picture.
Refer to Navigate Through CawCut if you need help locating these controls in the current interface.
4. Monthly Credits by Plan
CawCut plans currently include the following monthly credit allowances:
| Plan | Monthly credits |
|---|---|
| Free | No monthly credit allowance; credits can be purchased on demand |
| Basic | 1,050 credits |
| Pro | 3,300 credits |
The monthly credit allowance is the same whether you select monthly or annual billing. Annual billing changes the subscription price, not the number of credits provided each month.
5. Buy More Credits
You can purchase additional credits at any time from [Plan & Billing]. Purchased credits are separate from the monthly credits included with a plan, and unused purchased credits carry over.
To buy credits, open your account settings in CawCut, select [Plan & Billing], and open the credit purchase page. Choose a package, review the payment summary, and select [Pay Now].
6. Credit Usage and Refund Policy
Credits are charged when an operation runs, regardless of whether you download or use the result.
AI-generated results may not always match your expectations on the first attempt. You may need to adjust the prompt, model, workflow, or output settings. Credits cannot be refunded for completed runs solely because the result was not what you expected.
6.1 Generation Errors
A workflow that completes and produces a result is not considered an error, even if the result is not as expected.
If an operation fails because of a system or generation error, the credits used for that failed operation are automatically returned.
